Do you have John connected to any other siblings? And do any of the dates of John match up with the other siblings? Do you know the parents of John? I've learned that Arminda is the daughter of William T. and Nancy B. Clement Brumley. Robert Ira, my grandfather, would have had a different mother. It is possible that John is the brother of my grandfather but we'll have to see how the pieces connect. Let me know what you can find.

Searching for parents of Ileatha Loyd who married Gordon Arlin Green before 1918 in Marion County. Could it be that she is the daughter of Sallie Loyd? Or is she a member of the Isham Loyd family? I am researching 3 sisters from Bedford County TN. Annie Loyd married Ben Williams Matilda married James Nichols I don't believe Sallie Loyd ever married, but know she had at least one child. Any info would really be appreciated. Dorothy Duke Rhodes

Not sure if I am reliable source for the info on my gg grandfather...I can't even spell my last name? It is Dorothy Duke Rhodes. The Stidham Society has an excellent rootsweb.com tree that you might like to peruse. It has a good deal of info on Winston Dilmus Stidham's family. Just do a rootsweb search on him. Good luck. I have the following two death certificates of Robert Hallmark's children. #1. Leanna Mitchell, wife of James, died 6 Apr 1911, aged 72 years, McNairy County, TN, of Pneumonia as per McNairy County Death Certificate #58028. Certificate does not give parent's names. I haven't tried to get a certificate from the state of Tennessee. #2. Martha Ann Meshow or Meshaw, widow, born in Marion County, AL and died 17 May 1930, age 87 yrs. 6 mos. 10 days in city of Anniston, Calhoun County, AL. Certificate says her parents were Robert Hallmark, and Martha Brown, b. NC. In Marion County, AL census records beginning in 1850 and ending in 1880, Robert's wife is always listed as Gracy. I've thought that Robert's wife might have been a Harris. Could it be that Robert was married twice, 1st to Martha Brown and 2nd to Gracy? Or was her name Martha Grace? Hi, for what it's worth, my Solomon Stewart had showed up in Lincoln Co TN about 1810-1811, and had alliances it appears with Moores, Harkins, Hogan/Hogins, McConnell, possibly Foster, and so on. By 1816 it appears that they are in AL, with definite showup in Marion Co in 1820-1820, thence 1823 into Tuscalloosa Co, and in 1829-1839 he's moved to Perry County. By 1834-1835 he's moving across the border from Gainesville into Kemper County, AL . Other that the fact that Perry County is smack dab in the Black Belt, I never could understand the certain but fragmented migration early on into Perry County. While researching Perry County, I was always intrigued at the seemingly heavy presence of Tubb's and Shackleford's. And, as I mentioned last week, the Floyd's, Stewart's, and Burfords, (and probably Aikens) were intertwined as well. Cheers, Dick Stewart Colorado ================================= Betty, One of the interests of genealogy is seeing how intertwined people and places are. Here is my draft FGS for the family of Henry Walter Matthews Jr., parents of subject Lavinia Ann & her brother Robert C. Matthews.
