That was a cute story, sounds like old timers used to tell such stuff like that
Another Uncle Hezekiah Palmer story for Rita Thompson. In the early 1900s, About any Saturday men, farmers, preachers ,bootleggers, and just plain lyres, liked to go to town(Hamilton) and set around the court house square talking about the weather and the late news, gossip inc. so the story goes one fellow tuck the floor and told a story about a fast horse he once had. Uncle Hezekiah was next so he said that reminds me of a very fast horse he once had we called him old buckshot I entered him in the forth of July horse race that was coming up so the morning of the forth I feed him all the green corn he could eat sprinkled with gun power. Now when the horses were all lined up to start ole Buckshot was pitching to go I was on his back and could hardly hold him from starting now when the start gun was fired ole Buckshot jumped out from under me and away he went around the track like a comet in the sky he was back at the starting line before the other horses were half way around and on he went passing all the other horses and just before reaching the finishing line his 2th time his legs popped off at his knees and as he went sliding across the finish line he exploded and blowed green corn all over the lady's white dress and the crowd of people that was looking on.And then Uncle Hezekiah steps down and takes a seat. Now the preacher takes the floor and says "LET US PRAY. That's about the way my father told the story. Joel Palmer

For the ALMARION List Manager, Somehow this person thinks I'm part of his late wife's subscription. He does not know how to unsubscribe from the list, and I can't do it for him, as you already know. This person looks like he needs a little help getting unsubscribed. AND FOR YOU, ozzygreybeard, neither I nor Monya own or operate the list (in other words, we are not the 'organization' that you refer to). We are only on the receiving end of your apparent wrath. ALMARION, I would recommend you delete the person from the list, which appears to be starsuzoz@sbcglobal.net Have a good day. Hi and thank you for the response =-==-=- The info in Esther's book on Reuben, and also on my Solomon, came from Allie Seal (descendant of Reuben) and myself. If I remember right, there's some errors (typos I think) on my Solomon in there. Lot's of Esther's data is from other people of course, so one must be careful in assessing data. Looking for original sources or folks who have personally done the research. Not many left.. :-) cheers, Dick Stewart

Some are copyrited. If you are interested I can send you Carolyn's address and Josephine. Wayne is not doing anymore genealogy as of health and age.He was one of the best to share his information. I do not descend from any of those families I just buy a lot of genealogy books for the last 30 years And have helped write 9 so far finished the ninth or I did the research for them. I found out a long time ago if you exchange information that way you will get most time a lot more in return. I have had a lot to take what I gave and never returned anything ,Those I don't help the second time around, This is all about our ancestories. This way we can let our descendants know where they came from where they can be proud. There will be a lot of laughter and a little of sadness.we came from rich.poor and I found a lot of bootleggers and preachers .Lots that fought for freedom, dirt farmers and Plantations owners, They are my family and I am proud of each and every one of them.
