Hi Linda, Thanks for the link for your pages. I am wanting to get mine posted but want to get it all documented first. The only connection I have to Beasley that I know of as of yet is thru marriage of Elisha A. Sharp to Martha Beasley. Elisha's brother was my GGG Grandfather and thier sister Elender Sharp was my GGGG Grandmother. All born in Marion Co., AL. I was hoping connection could give me any new information on Sharp's etc.. Hi, I have a paper here that I wrote lookups on and there is a Elisha Sharp and Martha in 1880 census, Calhoun, Ms Dist 15, with five children, Sarah 21,John 14, Alice 10,Henry 5, and Arthur 8 months. Elisha is listed as being born in Al, and his parents in S.C.. Martha is listed as being born in Al and her parents from T.N. In this census they are both 39 years of age. Making them both born around 1840-41. Could this be your Elisha Sharp?? Just thought I would share that as I had a sometimers flash on the lookup that I had. And thought it could be useful to you. The general area was west of Winfield near the Fayette County Border. I can't connect Martha to any other Beasleys. I have not worked on the Sharp/Phillip/Grammer line extensivley but I was told J.E. Phillips was from TN. Like I said, I have not researched this line of my family extensivley. Have concentrated more on the Clark/McCoy line first and now branching out. Hey cousin, Thats the family. But I have them as brothers. I am the 4th G Grandson of Elender Sharp, sister of Edward Gray Sharp and Elisha Sharp. That would make me the 4th Great-grandnephew of your gg-gf Elisha Sharp. The notes I have for him is that he is the 14 child of John Johnston Sharp and Elizabeth Andrews born in ALA and a quote from another researcher " I have found no records this family in Lafayette Co., MS after 1870. Believe that they possibly moved to AR where their son, Arthur married in 1898." I have not documented any of the information above except for my direct line. I am sure your info of Elisha being born in MS would be correct. I have not pulled census records etc..on them but will to clarify. I am also the 3rd great-grandson of John Albert Sharp (he married a Ward) brother of Elender, Edward Gray and Elisha. So that makes me double related. I have connections to all the surnames you listed. Joel, I am descendant of John Mize born 1775 Patrick Co., Virginia. I also have the names Sharp, Taylor, Clark. I am descended from a Sharp that has middle name of Gray but I have not researched that line as of yet. This Sharp was removed to Lafayette Co., MS area. Many of the others especially Clark were from Marion Co ALA. I have been told my family name is connected to the Gray's but I have not researched yet.
