I am looking for any information on the following: Rev. David THOMSON who married Winifred Jones ELDRIDGE. Rev. David THOMSON, born 1760-1780 possibly in Glasgow, Scotland , died approx. 1831 in either Madison Co., AL or Giles Co., TN, married Winifred Jones ELDRIDGE, who was born 20 Feb.1776 in Goochland Co., VA Notes I have are that "Rev. David THOMPSON, b. Glasgow, Scotland was educated at the Univ. of Edinburgh. In 1809, the THOMPSONs moved to Madison Co., AL" (p.21 Corrections- from Pocahontas Descendants With Corrections & Additions, by Brown, Myers, Chappel, c. 1985) "David THOMSON presented credentials of Ordination in the Methodist Episcopal Church."(Orphans Court Minutes 1,p.3, July 6,1810 Madison Co., AL) CHILDREN of David and Winifred:(mentioned in will) 1. David's will was written in Giles Co., TN (some of his children lived there) in 1831, but he lived in Madison Co., TN and the guardianship of minors was in Madison Co., AL. If anyone has any information on any person above, please contact me. This has been my brick wall for 4 years. I am trying to find out if my Robert B. THOMSON is the son of Rev. David THOMSON. My Robert named his son Thomas David (his father-in-law was named Thomas) and his daughter Winifred Jane. My Robert was from Madison Co., AL. ANY help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
