Jones who had abstracted land titles for very many years, said that dower was laid off to his widow; she conveyed her lifetime rights to someone, who held it until her death, very many years later, when it was sold. Question what does from sentence, "Said that dower", mean and would appreciate answer, in layman language. I do know that John Sharp's wife Martha Sharp died around May-July1850.
