I found Thompsons in Tennessee. He intermarried with the Cherokee Indians and I believe it was his grandson who went to Arkansas on the Arkansas River and had a Trading Post there. He later went to Texas. If you think this may be a possiblility let me know and I'll dig the book out and see what I can find. I discovered him looking for our Nathaniel Burdine who was suppose to be married to Annie Eddins or Lipscomb and found them in Tennessee. Carol Ann
