I have focused on a stright line back so have not chked on siblings that were not in that direct line. *William Hughes b about 1829 (was 31 in 1860 censis) in Al or Va. Martha Caroline Posey b about 1829 (was 31 in 1860 censis) in Al marriage date Aug. 21, 1850 in Madison County, AL. Children: William Hiram Hughes b june 28, 1851 d jan 28, 1930 James Hughes b 1853 Mary Hughes b 1857 Robert Hughes b 1859 *William Hiram Hughes married (Dec 23, 1874) (marrage #1) Mary J N G Brandon/Brannon b now 17 1855 d July 2, 1888 Children: *William Alonzo Hughes b Aug 16, 1876 d Feb 18, 1964 Benjamin Hutto Hughes b June 22, 1881 d May 15, 1972 in Phoeniz. Az. M. Lannie Hughes. b Dec 30, 1878 d June 5, 1969 m Mattie Mae Craft Dora L. Hughes. b Oct 29, 1883 William Hiram Hughes married (marriage #2) Edith Ann Glover b April 20, 1869 d July 3, 1934 Children: John Hughes b dec 18, 1890 George HIram Hughes b aug 1, 1892 Walter Odel Hughes b Sept 13, 1893 Clara Mae Hughes b May 6, 1907 Clarence Edward Hughes b June 24, 1910 *William Alonzo Hughes m Sara Lulu Craft (This marriage was in Tx and both faimlies from Madison cty) They had a number of children including my father, William Lester Hughes b April 1907. All of William Hirams decendent from the second marriage are located. The only child from the first marriage that is rather obscure as to what he did with his life is B. Hutto. I included all this because siglings in the early 1800's have not been traced (at least by me) Bill Hughes
