I was wondering if anyone would look to see if an obituary exists for my great-great grandfather, George Washington WILLIAMS. He died Feb 22, 1920 in Huntsville, Madison Co., AL.. His son, Sydney Stanton WILLIAMS, was my great-grandfather. He was b. 12/1867 Lincoln Co., TN.; md. Mandy ESSLINGER. They were the parents of (7) children: Rosa WILLIAMS, who md. a BENNETT; had (3) sons: George, Leon & Wilson Alcie WILLIAMS, who md. Charley MORGAN, son of Zeb MORGAN Tommy WILLIAMS John Payton WILLIAMS Willie Lee WILLIAMS (My grandfather) Robert WILLIAMS Sidney WILLIAMS My grandfather left Alabama in the 1920's. A textile mill was opened in New Braunfels, Comal County, TX.. And they recruited people from Madison County. He married Valeska ZUNKER. They were the parents of a son: Willie Lee WILLIAMS, Jr. (My Father) My grandfather was killed in September of 1929. I am uncertain whether or not his family knew our little branch of the family tree even existed! I would love to hear from anyone who knows anything about this family. Or any suggestions on how to possibly locate any additional information or perhaps a family member? I am planning a trip to Alabama later in the fall.
