    3. It might help to know the earliest Madison Co. ancestor people are working on. They intermarried to such an extent that some of us are working on 2 or more Madison Co. lines and sort of working on the spousal lines of their siblings. It really gets interesting because the children of the earliest ancestor's children then marry some of the other families in the area. That makes descendants of the same ancestor working on a multiplying number of families. One reason I do this is that I am looking for a paper that identifies my Anna Craft as a daughter of Ezekiel Craft. Everyone says she is and I have 4 books (the DAR will not like 3 of them) that says she is. Does anyone know how many of Ezekiel Craft's children are documented? If I can find a documentation to a documented sibling, that would help my proof for the DAR. I would also like to know the maiden name of Sally, wife of Ezekiel Craft. I do have a clue or two, but nothing certain. I have DAR lines on both my Grayson and my Carter lines. The DAR recently closed the line on John Grayson, the father of John Clan, (need proof of service they say) They also suspect that he had been accused of being a Tory and not cleared for sure. They let my sister go on in on him about 5 years ago, but not now. George Carter, father of Sally is a good DAR line, but I have a small question about his service. Both lines are proven as to children. My earliest Madison County ancestors are: John Clan GRAYSON and his wife Sarah "Sallie" CARTER Their son Jackson married Anna CRAFT daughter of Ezekiel CRAFT and Sally _________. The Grayson children married: Hanna Cobb Glover Craft (2) Vann Sartain (2) Ellett The Craft children married: Edwards Green Glover Grayson (2) Brandon Clapp Bill Hughes wrote: > > I have been on the Madison County Roots Net for nearly a year now.
