I'm from Mooresville, just down the road about 20 miles, and I believe I recall reading about the McKinney's at Clyde's Cove. I've made only short, sporadic visits to the area since the 1950's, so my memory could be playing tricks. I believe the Malone "Scraps" newspaper articles in the Athens paper gave some attention to the McKinneys & another local family---a big fight, or football game, something like that? Al Hill
