    3. Does any one know if it is possible if school records would exsist for the period of 1895-1910. Would they exsist for the rural areas or smaller towns south of Huntsville? Would they exsist for the cotton mill villages which would likely have had their own schools for the children who lived in the housing provided to the workers of the various mill villages, such as Dallas, Lincoln, Merrimack and maybe others? How many months of the year might these children have been allowed to attend school...often they would have started working in the mills themselves as early as twelve years of age...would they have been allowed to have attended school part of the year? What grade would have been the highest grade that these schools would have offered to the students before they would have to go to a boarding school or town school? marta
