Hi everyone! Im researching a GILES family, specifically Joseph H. GILES b. Oct 1845 who was married to Lucretia J. PETTY b. ?. They had 3 children that I am aware of: Meredith Clarence GILES b. 1883?; Daniel A. GILES b. 1871?; and Hannah D. GILES. All of these children were born in Madison County AL, but the family moved to Ellis County TX after 1880 sometime. Joseph H. GILES is supposedly the son of Richard GILES and Eliza ELLEDGE, and he had at least one brother: James P. GILES. Richard GILES may have been born in VA.
