If anyone has easy access to Madison County marriage records, I would really appreciate a lookup for the marriage of Temperance Jones to Samuel Davis in about 1816. Temperance would have been about 14 or 15 years old at the time. Would a parent's permission be required for her to marry at this age? If so, do marriage records give the name of the parent?
