RE: year of 1917 The year 1917 was a bad year for somethings in Huntsville. That was the year the first full time Health Officer position was established. Dr. Carl Grote began this job in January of 1918. Does anyone know what was in the first report given in 1918? Also almost 400 people died that year as a result of the Spanish Influenza outbreak that was occurring world wide.....How would a list of those people be found? Could it be put on the list? How many people have a brick wall that occurred during this period?
