Seeking inormation concerning Ben F. BRANUM, b. ca. 1813 who married Samantha WOODS 4 Mar 1846 in Madison Co. Alabama. Ben F. had two known children by a previous marriage: James M. and Sarah J.. Seeking name of first wife and details concerning children and wife. Ben F. and Samantha along with a daughter Louisa L. age 2 are listed on the 1850 Madison Co. Ala. Census on pg. 401A, house # 178 in close proximity with her father, brothers and sisters. House # 157 William, Mary, and Nancy... father and sisters. house # 158 Andrew J. WOODS... brother house # 159 John and Elizabeth COBB...sister. Sometime after Nov 1850 Ben F. and Samantha migrated to Texas and appear on the 1860 Travis Co. Census, pg. 233, house# 179.
