I'll appreciate someone looking up the Gay family on the 1850, 1860 or 1870 census. My g.grandma was Lucy Massey Gay. Not sure when she was born, but she married Steve (Steven) Gay & had my grandma, Margie Mae Gay, on Aug. 8, 1892. After Steve's death, Lucy, in her later years, married James Atkinson (?spelling). I've been told that Lucy had a brother, Joe Massey & it is believed that Joe Massey is buried somewhere in Bridgeport, Jackson Co., AL. Joe's wife was accused of poisoning Joe with a strawberry pie. Also, there was a John Will Gay who was some way related. Any clues will be appreciated as I'm really in the dark about g.grandma Lucy Massey Gay's family. Mary
