Mikell, married Mary Jane ("Molly") Coates (and I have seen it spelled both Coats and Coates) 0n 6/7/1855. She was born 12/2/1838 in Pulaski County, Georgia. As Coats/Coates is not a very common name, I wonder if you might have ever run across Mary Jane in any of your research so we might find a family tie to your Thomas. Virginia Allison Adams

    3. I have very early coats/coates/cotes that left SC then to Tennessee, then Mississippi and MO one bunch went into AZ. Some in Arkansas.
