Sherwood GINN, b 1793 in Elbert County, GA, moved to Alabama between 1830-1840. Found in Chambers County, AL in 1840 census. He died between 1840 and 1850. One known child by first wife: Jeptha B. GINN who lived in Tennessee. Another possible child of first wife is George GINN. Names of children from second marriage are unknown, however, I found a person I believe to be his widow (Mary Nancy INGRAHAM) in the 1850 census: 1850 35th Dist,Madison, AL page 411: 317 317 Peter Branum, 57, chairmaker, SC Margaret 43 SC James C 16 Turner AL Nancy Ginn, 59, SC I'm hoping to discover whether Margaret who married Peter BRANUM is a daughter of Sherwood and Mary Nancy.
