Carrie, Mary Stephenson was a Shields. Elizbeth Sarah Perry was the wife of George Alexander Stephenson. George Alexander was living in Madison County on the 1870 census and shows up on the 1880 census of Limestone County,AL. George and Elizabeth Sarah Perry Stephenson married in Giles County,TN. in 1849. On the 1850 census are the following Perrys who I think are the ones I am looking for: I still know very little about my Perrys. The 1850 census of Giles lists them as The 1850 Census lists: William Perry,55,S.C. Elizabeth ,55,S.C. Nancy ,20,S.C. Joshua ,18,S.C. Susannah ,15,S.C. William ,12,S.C. Luanna ,9, S.C. A descendent of Frank Monroe Hudson who married George Stephenson's daughter Mary Sue wrote in a family history that Elizabeth Sarah Perry was one of four daughters of a preacher from South Carolina. Susan Perry,15, married John Glasgow in Giles. Lt. John Glasgow's health was ruined in the Civil War and shortly after he came home from the war he died. Joshua Perry might be this Joshua Perry: In the Civil War index records it lists him as being in the Co. A 53rd TN Infantry. Thats also what he lists on his pension records. Joshua's tombstone in Florence, AL reads that he was born in 1826 or 1828 but thats not right, but the date of death is correct reading 1906. Josuha is a name found among the Perrys of Lancaster,South Carolina and Franklin County,N.C. There was also several William Perrys in Lancaster. I do know there were many Perry families in Maury County,TN. I do not know where William went after 1850. He does not show on the 1860 census of Giles as far as I know. Sorry, but I do not know anything about Samuel Perry or Jasper Newton Perry. Tom Stephenson
