    2. I, for one, understand and appreciate Dot's work on her book and want to say thank you to her for it. What I said was not aimed specifically at her or in deed any author. I just believe if you want to sell your books that you work so hard on then you should appreciate the inquiries shown for people listed in the books. Their survivors are your potential customers! If any list ask for a complete transcription of a book that would be unacceptable, however a few look-ups from that book should only help your sales as long as credit is given to the title of the book and its author and if asked how that person obtained their copy of the book and where if possible one might get a copy. Thanks Becky

    3. I have ALWAYS offered free surname lookups in my various volumes of cemetery books. Sorry that message did not get out. 3. I have ALWAYS offered a free surname lookup. I, too, hate to spend lots of money only to find my family is not listed (but have done so countless times). For that reason I am only too glad to look up a surname, and in some cases where there are many, of a particular surname I will look up the given name - but in most cases I will not give dates but I have even done that. As far as someone copying a few cemeteries and giving the information over the net is concerned, that is wonderful. Keep in mind, however, there is a lot of difference between copying 3 or 4 cemeteries and copying 400 or 500 then going to the expense of publishing them. Thanks.
