    3. I question your statement that Madison was part of Walker Co. Walker Co was formes in 1824, after statehood from Marion & Tuscaloosa Counties. Madison Co was a county in the Mississippi Territory. It was formed in 1808 from lands ceeded in 1806 & 1807 by the Cherokees and the Chicasaw's. In Fact Madison might technically have included Walker Co., since it was the only county in now North Alabama. Earnie R.
