I have worked with her books in various archives, and have found a very few of the printed volumes that I've added to my own library. Thanks. 1. Madison County Researcher Needed
    2. Looking for a researcher for hire in Madison County area. Have following problems: 1. My gr gr gr grandfather, Abraham Bransford came to Madison, AL in 1817, from VA. Unable to find his place of burial. Believe it to be in restricted area of Redston Arsenal - maybe in Limestone County. 2. My gr gr grandfather, Jacob Hobson Bransford married Maria Hagey in Nashville and eventually moved back to Madison. Divorced her in 1850-- for her unladylike conduct. Found the marriage license in Nashville, but no divorce papers. Believe the divorce to have been in Madison area. Have copies of will of Abraham, plus the papers where he freed his slaves. Also have location of his land plus dates of above marriage and divorce. Need to hire a researcher!!!!!! John A. Shiver, Dothan, AL

    3. Sorry about the reply I just sent about Henry and Harless families. I got my queries mixed up--Madison County (AL) and Marshall County (MS)! I had just checked out one for Marshall County, and thought I was still working there. 3. I checked the book _Cemeteries of Marshall County Mississippi_, 1983 edition, and didn't find Bartholomew Henry, or anyone identified as wife or child of Bartholomew Henry. I also checked for Harless family, and didn't find any by that name. Also checked McAlexander's book, _A Southern Tapestry: Marshall County, Mississippi, 1835-2000_, with no luck either. Sorry. ----- Original Message ----- From: <PEKIPAN@aol.com> To: <ALMADISO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, September 13, 2002 9:14 AM Subject: BARTHOLOMEW HENRY/ DANIEL HARLESS > Bartholomew Henry bought land in Madison County in 1845. > > I'm looking for any information on Bartholomew and his family. > > I'm also interested in the Daniel Harless family. 1. Stephenson,Clutts,
    2. Tommy Stephenson
    3. I am interested in the burial place of a William Stephenson who married Mary Clutts. I believe this William Stephenson died in the 1870's in Madison Co,AL. An old Madison Co,AL. record mentions the selling of the lands of William Stephenson around 1872 and his wife Mary Clutts was mentioned. Also mentioned in the record was Susan F. Stephenson and her husband Robert Stephenson as well as Mary Maddox having some connection with William Stephenson. Susan F. Stephenson's maiden name was Jennings. She was the daughter of Samuel Jennings who married Sarah Jordan. 1850 census of Madison County,AL. Robert Stephenson, age 26 b. AL Susan F. ,age 24 b. TN. James B. ,age 2 b. AL. possibly William Stephenson In 1861,a daughter,Sarah A.E. Stephenson was added to the family. She married a William Cole probably in Madison Co,AL. In the 1880's Robert Stephenson and family moved to Wood Co,TX. By 1886 both Robert Stephenson and his daughter Sarah Stephenson Cole were dead. Susan F. Stephenson was living in McLennan Co,TX in 1886,according to the probate. I believe this Robert Stephenson was the son of Samuel Stephenson and his wife Mary Shields who were living in Madison Co,AL. in 1860. Samuel Stephenson was born in York County,South Carolina, in 1793. Samuel was the son of Robert Stephenson 1755-1798 and Jane Barron 1767-1841. The Stephensons were neighbors of the Darwins in York County,S.C. In 1879, William Alexander Stephenson, grandson of Samuel Stephenson, married Dolly Darwin, daughter of George Darwin and Susanna True of Madison Co,AL. Any help is appreciated! Tom Stephenson

    1. Re: "Graveyard Hill" (Mt. Parron Cemetery" - New Market
    2. Hello all, I am new to the list. Recently, I was visiting "Graveyard Hill", (Mt. Parron Cemetery of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. My ancestor, Samuel Davis, gave the land for this cemetery (previously a camp meeting ground). I met a lovely young lady who was "full" of great information. Unfortunately, I have lost her name and e-dress. If she is "out there"; I hope she will contact me. I would also appreciate hearing from anyone regarding ancestors buried there and what the web page for Mt. Parron is (can't find it). I have been researching the DAVIS, WALKER, BAYLES, SCOTT, CRINER and other families of that area for over 30 years. Would love to share information. I especially have had a MOST difficult time getting information on the women of some of these families. I believe they may have been NATIVE AMERICAN. Would appreciate help on accessing information regarding native american/white marriages in this area, E. Tennessee, and on up to Washington County, Virginia. Thank you! Lynn W. 1. Samuel and Martha-Jefferson Bell Walker Revolutionary Times in Edgefield SC
    2. Samuel and Martha-Jefferson Bell Walker Revolutionary Times in Edgefield SC:  The Mysteries and the Mistakes!   For several months now a group of researchers has been working to put together a well-documented family outline for Samuel Walker, Revolutionary Soldier of Edgefield SC, his wife Martha-Jefferson Bell Walker, plus their children and grandchildren.  Their eight children married into the BEAMS, HOLLOWAY, EDDINS, MITCHELL, FARROW, and MAYS families of the late 1700s and early 1800s in Edgefield.  The families moved during the early 1800s to several Alabama counties.   Another tradition has one of the daughters married into the MCCARTY family.  Many researchers have contributed data, suggestions, clues, etc. and we are extremely grateful for all input. We have now input the information we have collected and posted the register-format family tree at: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/r/u/s/Judith-F-Russell/index.html Please take a look and let us know what you think.  We sincerely invite your input with additions, corrections and comments.   We want to fill out the missing gaps as to children and grandchildren and correct any mistakes.  We particularly want as much documentary evidence (wills, estates, deeds, etc) as possible. Our primary goal is to find the correct ancestry for Samuel Walker Rev Sold of Edgefield, born about 1745.  Possibly someone in the associated families has the clue that we need.   You would have our undying gratitude if you could provide any information to put us on the right track.   (A timeline of the life of Samuel Walker, Sr., as we know it, is also on the www site. Lists of neighbors, etc are provided.  Our best Clue:   He had close associations with Joseph Walker, Granville Co., NC, who married Elizabeth Clarke and with Joseph's children James, Rachel, and Hezekiah.)   Thank you very much.   Please let us hear from you!   Judy Russell (jruss95@aol.com) Frances Bateman Debby Carmichael Martha Easter Shirley Nobles Erickson Mary Anne Price John Rountree
