DAFFIN, abt. 1817-abt. 1863. Our Daffin family lived in Talbot and Caroline Counties, Md. There are plenty of other Daffins earlier than 1817 in these counties and also in St. Mary's Co., Md. One of prominence was a THOMAS B. DAFFIN who married REBECCA DICKINSON in 1797. They lived in Caroline Co., Md. Rebecca died in 1812. Thomas B. died in 1816. Here is my QUESTION: Who is the "THOMAS DAFFIN m. SARA SMITH, 1816, Caroline Co."? Could this possibly be the Thomas B. Daffin that died that year and did they actually marry. If they did could they have had a son (my g-ggrandfather). Thos. B. could have died before he was born. Does anybody have any other information concerning this marriage?
