Hugh was born in Tallapoosa County ,AL.,abt1850-1873--wife`s name lost;They had #1 JAMES MADISON MONROE RAILEY b1865 d1936 m.MARY MATTIE HASSELTINE JACKSON b 1866 d1930 and many of their children still live in Tallapoosa County---Another of Hugh`s children was my grandmother NANCY ELIZABETH VICTORIA RAILEYb 1866 d 1936 m STEPHEN RILEY PHILLIPS b1869 d1906 they had my father JAMES WENDELL PHILLIPS b1895 d 1970 m MATTIE LAVADA PITTS b1901 d1974 I am one of seven children Elizabeth Joan PHILLIPS Hoskins Orlanda,FL All relatives listed here were born in Alabama --most in Tallapoosa Co. Sooo...My Native American gggrandmother`s married surname was RAILEY and I have no idea how to find the name she was given at birth any suggestions?
