I just got a WONDERFUL idea from having read messages from one of the other lists I subscribe to. I seems everyone is trying to find their ancestors and especially PHOTOS of such. It would be wonderful to be able to view photos of people living in the towns and counties we are trying to find. Everyone always takes pictures that include people no one is able to identify. If someone would be willing to scan and lists all old photos (especially 1800's - early 1900's era), then maybe we can print them out and ask our family members if they are able to identify them. I don't think it would be too difficult, but just who would be willing to do so. Maybe the Historical and Genealogical societies in these towns could do this or even the libraries that are local. I personally am trying to find a photo of my grandmother's parents of whom her mother died when she was only 16 years old and her father died in the 1850's. None of my family members have pictures of them. My quest is to be able to present my grandmother with a picture of her parents.
