I am sure this has been hashed over and over again but..... I am wondering, exactly what 'records' are available -in- Macon County? What year did Macon County start requiring birth, death, marriage, etc.? Many counties I visit across the Internet on GENWEB have listed that early marriage record books are held in the courthouses. The only listing I have for my g-g-grandmother was as 'Addie'. Although one can never be sure, I feel this is a nickname for either Adeline or Adelaide. I can get two birds with one stone. One is to get the marriage records and two, hopefully, her full name will be on the listing. Thanks....Mike Kelly
