Anyone can submit up to 10 surnames to be listed whether they have a website or not, however most visitors to the Connect With Surnames visit the genealogy sites listed under surnames they are researching. There is a Listbot mailing list with over 675 members that you can join to find out immediately when and which surnames have been updated with new listings. There is a directory of surname specific webrings, one of the most complete that I have seen.
