Desperately seeking information on my paternal grandfather and his parents. My grandfather was William Curtis Cannon-called Curtis or Curt, b. ?? 1904. Died in 1927 in Texas train accident at age 23. He was 6 yrs old in 1910 census for Macon County. My father Jesse R. Cannon was only 4 months old, his brother 2 when he died. My grandparents were only married for 4 years-she was a widow at age 19. My grandma went to S.C. to live with her parents who had moved there from AL. G-grandparents Felix "Watt" Cannon and Annie-on 1910 Macon census they are 29 and 23 respectively, so birthdates are 1880-81 and 1886-87. Married in 1902-03. My father lived with them for 1 year just before entering Navy in 1944. They lived in Franklin vicinity. Hardly ever saw them after that, so I know nothing about them. There are 2 Felix Cannons in 1910 census. Other Felix is 7 years older, married to Zadie Crapps and had one daughter Lillian. This could possibly be a cousin, but I have no knowledge of that yet. My objective is to learn my g-grandmother's maiden name to add another branch to the family tree.
