Hi, Does anyone have a copy of the 1860 Macon Co. AL Census? I am trying to find a listing of William STRICKLAND and his family. I did a search in ancestry.com and found that he is listed on the AIS Census Index for 1860 Macon Co. Southern District on Page 774. I would certainly like to get a listing of his family. I am disabled and rarely get to a library to look at the census reels. William was a s/o John Strickland and Charlotte Reese. However, I believe that William's natural mother was not Charlotte because she was too young. William was supposedly b. 1835 in NC. He married Andia Mariah Grantham on Dec 24, 1852 in Pike Co., AL. I think that Andia d. in 1860 and William was left with two or three small children. Andia was one of my gt-gt-aunts, and perhaps she and William were the parents of one of my gt-grandparents.
