I cannot imagine how hard it must be. I think there might have been two KELLY families in the area. I cannot prove connection to KELLY's in Society Hill area. I don't think my family held any African-Americans in slavery. From the time I can find my family in GA and AL there isn't mention of any, nor are there any listed on Census records. I am sorry coz I know that doesn't help much, but at least it might help point you in a different direction.
