Consideration Fifty Dollars Signatures Yes Witnesses: J.J. Daniel - A. C. Mahan, Clerk by J. C. Daniel Deputy. Description: Lots No. 44 & 49 in Square No. 3 in the town of Rockford. Lot #44 fronting on Jackson Street 66 ft. and running back 12 ft. Lot No. 49 fronting on same street and running west of the boundary line of said town containing more or less four acres. Carter Jackson is found on the 1860 Macon County, AL census on Ancestry.com on pg. 69. He is shown as 80 yrs of age, large land owner, born in Virginia, living with Olive ?, and Wm Strickland. Olive was 59 and Wm was 24. Southern Division. I am trying to find land deeds as he is shown as a large land owner in Macon County, AL, his place of burial, what happened to Olive Strickland.
