Hi, I am attempting to locate the original records of the Cubahatchee Baptist Church, of Cross Keys, Macon County. I understand that William T. Martin has written a book titled: "Cubahatchee Baptist Church of Christ church book, 1838-1850," published in 1992. I also understand that the preface of the book mentions that the records are at Samford University in Birmingham. I have attempted to contact the library at Samford (email and by phone), but I have been unable to get a human to respond. I checked their on-line catalog, but didn't find any entry for Cubahatchee, other than the one for the above mentioned book. So, does anyone on the list know what records are held at Samford? Does anyone live in Birmingham, that could check on the availability of filmed copies of the records?
