I have been searching for the family of my grandmother Sallie BIGGERS LARKINS from Union Springs for several years without any new leads. Her death certificate list 1868 as her birth year in Bullock County, and the 1900 Troy Alabama census list her birth date as September 1866. My understanding is that Union Springs was in Bullock County prior to the formation of Macon County, and now it is in Macon County. I have a long trail on Sallie from 1892 on, that was the year that she married my grandfather Jack LARKINS in Troy. My search now is to find Sallie's family, and I am asking for any assistance that anyone on this list can offer. Her death certificate (she died in December of 1944) gives her parents names, but both are mostly unreadable. Her father's name looks like Sam or Sean BIGGERS. Her mothers first name is clearly Clara, Sallie later named one of her children Clara, but I can not make out the last name. It is something like Sucity, but that is only a guess and I doubt if it is correct. If anyone has any info on BIGGERS from Union Springs I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. Thanks!!!
