He was first married to Rebecca Downing and then to my great grandmother, Ann Durham. I know that his son, William was born after 1862 and probably in Talllapoosa County, AL. I have no luck in finding out where in Georgia Robert was born or who his parents were. I don't know if there is any connection to your family. Crawford does seem to be rather common name.
