I am looking for any information on the family of Rebecca BLALOCK or, possibly, BLAYLOCK (middle inital possibly M., although there is one instance where her name is written as Wiggins, could just be a mistake). She was born August 24, 1810 and died January 16, 1879. She was married on December 4, 1828, to James SHARP (middle initial probably S.) who was born May 15, 1802 and died May 21, 1885. Their daughter, Martha Eliza SHARP, was born July 27th or 29th, 1831, and died October 10, 1863 at Pea Ridge, Dallas County, Alabama. She was the first wife of Wiley Cleveland GRANT - they married December 25, 1854. Wiley Cleveland GRANT was born 18 April 1830 and died 2 July 1870 at Selma, Dallas County, Alabama. He married second wife, Mary Murphy in August of 1864. The parents of Cleveland GRANT are James W. (possibly Wiley) GRANT and Abigail Ann SHADDOCK or SHADRICK. The parents of Ann SHADDOCK, born bef. 1786, probably in Perry County, ALabama, are Samuel SHADDOCK and his wife Prudence of SOuth Carolina. The daughter of Cleveland GRANT and Martha SHARP was Mary Ella GRANT. She was born 29 Oct 1858 at Frog Level, Alabama. I believe this is in Marengo County, near Horseshoe Bend. Mary Ella GRANT died 3 Nov 1928 at Selma, Dallas Co., AL. She married Robert H. Burfitt of Benton, AL. I do not know the names of additional children belonging to Cleveland GRANT and Martha SHARP. I do have the children of Mary Ella GRANT and Robert BURFITT. I am searching for information on JAMES W. GRANT, the father of Wiley Cleveland GRANT. I would like to know if he had other children, if he had siblings, who his parents were, when and where he was born and died, etc. I would also appreciet any information on the SHADRICK, SHADDOCK, SHARP, SHARPE, BLALOCK, BURFITT and FINKLEA families.
