Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JS.2ADE/702.1 Message Board Post: My records show that Milton P. Harrison was the son of Pascal Harrison and his wife, Elizabeth Phillips. Milton had the following siblings: Alfred, Benjamin, Jane Phillips, Mary E. and James. This James is listed in the 1850 US Census living with Elizabeth Harrison, age 60, born in GA, Alfred, age 41, born in GA, Mrs. Mary E. Lathrop, age 30, born in GA with her daughter, Mary E. Lathrop, age 10, born in GA. James is 28, born in AL and Mary had married James B. Lathrop in 1838. If this is the same James who married America, then she died or for some reason isn't there. The marriage record for James and America Moss is not in the marriage books in Lowndes County (I have them transcribed into my computer - I went page by page and transcribed them, took years) A will in Will Book C, page 11 is for J. N. Harrison. He leaves everything to his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Harrison, except a watch which he leaves to Moses J. Harrison. This is a puzzle. This will was dated Sept 8, 1861 and proved Dec 1, 1862. J. N. died in the Civil War. Sterling Moss in 1850 is listed on page 106, age 47, born in GA, with wife Sidney W., age 43, born in GA, son Henry L (S?), age 20, son Thomas N., age 16, daughter Mary E, age 14, and daughter Martha F., age 12, all born in AL. Sterling, Sidney, Mary E. and Martha are also in the 1860 census. Sterling died in 1863 and Sidney in 1862, buried in the Gordonsville Cemetery
