Then get the handwritten copy where it was written in the book I suppose. I think there you can see where the transcribing error occured. I think William meant to be listing his wife first and not a child named Unity. Just my opinion--everyone needs to look at the original before deciding what or who he was listing. From that time on the name Whity was used. To me if the child was not listed in the 1860 census nor with Unity in 1870 the proof is there. Good Luck
