Gandy on Dec. 8, 1895, married by A. E. Caffey, Judge of Probate, married in Hayneville. This was found in Marriage book B, page 487. In the Myrtlewood Cemetery, Fort Deposit is Benjamin Rogers Smith, b. Jan. 27, 1856, d. July 3, 1940 and Laura Ella Smith, b. Mar 17, 1861, d. Jan. 2, 1931. Next to them is William Crenshaw Smith, b. Oct. 7, 1896, d. May 2, 1972. Laura was found in the 1880 census with her family, father, Alexander, mother Martha, brothers Gus (Augustus), Robert, and William. Alexander, Rogert, his wife Georgia Callen Gandy, and Augustus can be found in the Little Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Sandy Ridge, Lowndes Co., AL. There was a B. R. Smith in the 1880 Census in the same enumeration district as the Gandys and his age was correct. He was a boarder with the Hunt family in the Brooks Beat area.
