Dec 25, 1781 in Orangeburg Dist., SC, d. Sept. 1, 1855 in Lowndes Co., AL, buried in the Snow Cemetery. His mother was Rachael Utsey, born about 1787. I have William Henry Moorer a son of Frederic Peter Moorer, and William had sisters Leah and Mariah, as well as brothers Lewis Golson, John Jacob, and Gabriel Peter. I have some on each of Frederic Peter Moorer's chhildren. So, James Darrell Moorer was a grandson of Frederic Peter Moorer. There was another Frederic Peter Moorer, b. abt 1827 and he was a son of John Henry and a grandson of John Moorer. John Moorer and Frederic Peter Moorer (the older folks) were brothers.
