Following is a transcription of that document: TRANSCRIPT OF 1815 GUARDIANSHIP DOCUMENT: Probate Records: Document of Guardianship - Josiah Todd Document: Guardianship Document Date: 01 Dec 1815 Site: Edgefield Dist., SC Transcription: I do hereby certify that JOSIAH TODD was appointed guardian to LEWIS TODD, PATSY TODD, and WILLABY TODD (minors) and hath given bond and security as the law directs guardian at my office this 1st day of Dec., 1815, and on this 15th district, the said JOSIAH TODD was chosen guardian by JAMES and PENELOPY TODD, minors over fourteen years old. (Signed) Jn. Timhery, J. E. D. Nancy was born about 1783, likely in Bertie Co., NC; she married Josiah 10 December 1798 in Bertie Co., NC; she died about 1813 in Edgefield Dist., SC, likely after the birth of her youngest child, Willoughby. About 1814 or 1815 Josiah married Zilpha Thomas and produced 10 more children with her. Nancy's children are not listed by name in Josiah's will, but they did exist. Willoughby was my great-great grandfather, and Josiah was his father. Willoughby would have been about 40 years old when Josiah died. Thanks so much for the URL for Josiah's will! Thanks, too, for your reply.
