Hello, Stephen Pilotte is listed in the 1850 census of Lowndes Co. Stephen Pilotte age 27, accountant, b. in GA Sarah E. Pilotte age 18, b. in SC In the 1870 census Samuel Pilot is listed as a black man with a wife and several children. Does anyone have any information on either of these families?? My gggrandfather, Samuel Pilot b. 1818 in SC, was in Barbour Co, AL in 1850 census and then in Choctaw Co in the 1860 and 1870 census. I have not been able to locate his parents or any siblings.
