I had William and Susan in my data base but had not connected that their Josephine was the one who married James Monroe Davis. Susan Jane Mitchell was born July 25, 1821 in AL and died Feb. 22, 1886. She is buried in the Rocky Mount Cemetery, Crenshaw Co., AL. I found William and Susan in the 1850 and 1860 US Census, Lowndes County. My bet is where they lived became part of Crenshaw when it broke off. I have six of theri children if you need that info from the census records. Thanks again
