Joseph Newton Schofield was born 5-11-1864 and died 5-13-1947. He was probably born in the area of either Lowndes or Montgomery Cos. that later became Crenshaw. His parents died when he was a small child, before 1870, and he lived with relatives, names unknown. According to information passed down through the family he had one brother and a half sister, again names unknown. He was married first to Fannie L. Hall and second to Liddie Viola Owens. All three are buried in Bethlehem Cem. in southern Montgomery Co. Does this sound familiar to any of you? I would appreciate any information.
