For James O. King - Bethel Baptist Church was near Pintlala on what is now U.S. Hwy 231. It was the second Baptist church organized in Montgomery County. If anyone anywhere has any records of the Shoals of Catoma church, it will be the Special Collection at Samford University in Birmingham. They have microfilmed church records for years. They also have (indexed) a complete run of the Alabama Baptist/Southwest Baptist that was and is published by the Baptists in Alabama.
