Hi, I am new to the list. My husband is descended from a Rives family from Collirene in Lowndes County. The Rives came to the area from SC in the late 1830s. His gg-grandfather was Green Rives. Green had a brother named Robert Rives. What I am actually trying to find is a copy of a diary kept by an overseer for the Rives family. His last name was Traylor. He kept his diary in the late 1830s. My mother-in-law had a copy of it; unfortunately, she is quite elderly and in ill health and cannot help us locate her copy. I believe she received it from a lady named Rosa Traylor in Collirene in about 1979. Does anyone know anything about this family or the diary? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
