Hi, >From all I can tell, John Andrew Lovett and Minnie Austin Lovett were not from Lowndes County. They are in the 1900 US Census showing them to be married for 20 years and that they had 8 children, 6 living. Neither are in Lowndes Court House by Mildred Brewer Russell at all. I checked the marriage records (I have all the records in my computer - I have gone page by page through these and found errors from Mrs. Russell's book). There is no marrriage record for them. Because they lived in the Farmersville area, I would look for a marriage record in either Dallas, Monroe or Wilcox county with Wilcox my first choice. If they were married for 20 years in 1900, that would mean they married in about 1880. Son Steven is listed as born in Dec. 1800 so they married before that. Once you find the marriage license, you will probable be able to check the census there in 1880. Hope this helps. They are buried in the Sills Cemetery in Farmersville, Lowndes Co., AL, along with some of their grandchildren.
