    2. LORA, Your LOVETTS are a bit too recent for the little Chronicle written by Mrs. Russell. It covers 1820-1900 and not exhaustively, so just because your people are not in the index does not mean they were never in the area. There IS in fact, one LOVETT mentioned: SOPHIA LOVETT married SEABORN WILLIAMS on 17 March 1835. They were married by D. PEEBLES. Sorry I could not be of more help, but it is possible that the War interfered and the Lovetts moved elsewhere....possibly Montgomery or Autauga Counties....or Dallas County. All was in turmoil in the 1860's and many were disposessed or moved west or to the cities. Birmingham was built AFTER 1869 and many moved there....before that, the area was known as Elyton...Jefferson County.
