    2. Don, I THINK it is still there. It was there in the 50's when my mother went and took pictures. Will be glad to share with you if you like. 1. [ALLOWNDE] Sarah HEARNE POOR 1775-18050s/GA/AL/MS/NC
    2. Ralph Poore
    3. I'm looking for info on Sarah HEARNE POOR or POORE, and particularly her husband (first name unknown) and children. I would like documentation to confirm that F.T. Poor is the son of Sarah. Sarah and her parents moved from Georgia to Montgomery County, AL, in 1819. That part of Montgomery County was later split off to help form Lowndes County. Believe that Sarah and her son F.T. moved to Mississippi sometime before 1838. Sarah and F.T. are listed in the 1850 Winston County, Miss., census. In 1866 census, F.T. is in Jasper County. At times, they also may have lived in Neshoba, Newton, or Jones counties, as branches of my family can be found there. Below is the information I have on Sarah and her parents and, if my link is correct, F.T. Poor. William HEARNE b. 1746 in Somerset County, Maryland, and d. September 21, 1832 in Lowndes County, Alabama; m. TABITHA HEARNE. Their daughter, SARAH HEARNE b. 1775 in North Carolina, and d. date unknown in Mississippi. Child of SARAH HEARNE is: F.T. POOR, b. 1811, Georgia; d. date unknown, Mississippi; m. ELIZA, b. 1818 in Alabama, d. in Mississippi. Children of F.T. POOR and ELIZA are: WILLIAM B. POORE, b. January 21, 1848, Mississippi; d. 1. [ALLOWNDE] Looking for a Patterson family died about 1900.
    2. Boo da Pest
    3. My wife's grandmother Carrie Patterson Bruner Luckie was born in 1897 somewhere in Alabama. She had at least one sibling Colvin Paterson. When she was a young child her birth parents (Paterson) died, possibly in a fire. I would guess this occurred during the first 5 years of the century, but may have been before 1900. She was adopted by a Charles Bruner in Lowndes County. Her brother was not adopted by this family. Her oldest son was named John Paterson Luckie so perhaps John was her fathers name. If anyone has information about this Patterson family I would be grateful for any further leads. Rich Reed

    1. [ALLOWNDE] James M. Hay b. 3-26-1811
    2. wwadsworth
    3. I am looking for information about my GGG Grandfather James M. Hay who was born in Georgia but he was living in Lowndes County Ala. in the 1830's. I know he purchased land there and married my GGG Grandmother Margaret H. Harrison b. 4-4-1821( daughter of Levi Harrison b. 1792 S.C.). They married on 10-27-1835. They are listed on the 1850 census of Russell County Ala. and then on the 1860 census of Wood county Texas. In 1847 while living in Russell County James M. Hay was made the guardian of a Curtis Hay, I do not know his relation to my James M. Hay . Also on the 1860 Wood County Census in James M. Hay household there is a Thomas Hay listed born around 1821 in Ala. , I do not know his relation to my James M. Hay. I believe that it is possible that other members of the Hay family were living in Lowndes County Ala. , if anyone can help with this search please contact me. Respectfully Wally Wadsworth
