Greetings to everyone at ALLMACHER worldwide! My name is Patty Allmacher Manley. I reside in the small town of Salem, West Virginia, U.S.A. My grandfather, Gustav Allmacher arrived in this country in 1923. The ship he and his second wife (Emma, my step-grandmother) came over on was The Minnekahda from the port of Hamburg, Germany. They both resided at Erfurt, Germany prior to their departure to the U.S. Only this year (2001) have I begun to learn about my father's (William Clifford Allmacher) side of the family. My father was born in the U.S. (Philadelphia, PA). He and my mother divorced when I was young and my dad never came to see me, so I lost track of him and consequently never talked with him about his side of the family. I enjoy (with the help of my newly found family here in the U.S.) learning about my heritage. My grandfather was born in 1867, my step-grandmother, Emma, in 1885 in Germany. My grandmother (Gustav's first wife) was Blanch Wallace (maiden name) Allmacher but I have been told that she also at some time was known as Blanch Tudor. I haven't a clue regarding the name of Tudor. Does anyone out there in cyber space have any info regarding this??? If so please contact me at my email address: [email protected] Thank you.
