    3. Absolutely, DO NOT give up on our Allison/Ellison line, Tabitha! Tom Evans, if you are monitoring this thread, please Tom, would you email Tabitha the FULL Andrew Allison line, so she can see where the split with Robert/Jeremiah/Robert CLAY Allison leaves??? You seem to have located more information since we corresponded in 2001-2002....Thanks Sharon From: ALLISON-D-request@rootsweb.com Reply-To: ALLISON-L@rootsweb.com Date: Fri, 24 Feb 2006 05:01:01 -0700 To: ALLISON-D@rootsweb.com Subject: ALLISON-D Digest V06 #18 ALLISON-D Digest Volume 06 : Issue 18 Today's Topics: #1 Re: Franklin Co. They used both names. Before 1850, my Elijah and his siblings used the name Ellison and in our dna research we have matches with Ellisons. You did not say whether or not you received the info I sent direct. If you did, you will notice that on one census Jeremiah Scotland Allison was recorded as Ellison. I would appreciate it if you would let me know if you did get the information or not. Thank you. My JMA did not fight in the civil war. I know one of his sons did, possibly two. ~Tabitha ______________________________ From: abrizendine@earthlink.net Date: 23 Feb 2006 17:00:03 -0700 To: ALLISON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Franklin Co. I hope you find what you are looking for. We are not sure that Robert and Susan are Jeremiah's parents. They are listed in the Wayne Co. census and that is why they suspect a connection but nothing documented. ______________________________ From: abrizendine@earthlink.net Date: 23 Feb 2006 21:36:28 -0700 To: ALLISON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Robert Clayton Allison This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. I was told years ago when I was just a kid that I was related to him. I just recently got into genealogy and thought I research him and see how he connects into our family tree. Only then did I realize that everyone else who had and Allison in the family was trying to do the same. I was only trying to find the link because I was told that it was there. If there are people that have the information but don't want to give it out then that's there business. I guess I'll never know how we connect. But it's not that big of a deal to me. I have a few family members that I keep up-to-date on my genealogy findings that are curious about the RCA connection but i'll just tell them that I can't find it. Sorry if I annoyed anyone for beating a dead horse when I brought the RCA subject back up. ______________________________ From: abrizendine@earthlink.net Date: 23 Feb 2006 22:51:40 -0700 To: ALLISON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: Robert Clayton Allison This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. It happens to all of us who have been told the stories over the years. I have sent to you the genealogy of Clay Allison's family. That is all we know. He only had daughters so there was no male to carry on his name. You have all the census records that we have on his family which consist mostly of his father, Jeremiah Allison. This line also connects to the Ellison line through dna testing. They used both names in those days. You hang in there and if you would contact Tim Allison again, he can help you with your line for it is his as well and he has helped so many of us Allisons from AL. He is a nice person who cares about the Allison genealogy. This genealogy can get frustrating and you think no one is out there who will help out but keep at it and it will come together and there may not be answers to many things as there was not much documentation in those days. We do have the DNA testing if any of your family would like to contribute. Don't ! give up!!
